    How do I choose the right massage table?

    First of all, it is important to make the choice whether I want a massage table that is collapsible and that I can take with me on location, or an electrically adjustable one that you can place in your practice.

    You can easily fold it and place it in the carrying bag with shoulder strap, so you can easily take the massage table with you on location.
    You also have the option of storing accessories with the carrying bag.
    This way you can easily take your knee roll or terry cloth covers with you to provide the right treatment on location.
    Don't want to carry the massage table with the carrying bag? Then it is also possible to use the handy trolley so that you can easily move it.

    Working height:


    It is important with the folding massage tables that you must determine the height before you start treating.
    You can adjust the height by loosening the rotary knobs on the side, you can then loosen the leg and then place it higher or lower. When it is at the right height, you can tighten the knobs again. You do this with all 4 legs.
    To determine the correct working height, a commonly used guideline is the following:

    Stand up straight next to the table and make a fist. The knuckles should now touch the top of the table. Better the table a little lower than too high. You can no longer apply pressure at a table that is too high, at low tables you can bend your knees and continue to use your weight well.

    There are also tables on the market that start to wobble and creak after a year. Caution is advised at cheaper tables. If you work a lot with heavy people, choose a table that has a large carrying capacity.

    Arm board / arm loop and or arm panels:

    The arm panels on the side of the table ensure that the table can be made wider.
    In practice, these are rarely used because they often get in the way.
    Often use is made of the arm board or arm loop that comes with the table to catch the arms in a prone position.
    The advantage of the arm board is that the shoulders are relaxed and as a masseur you can stand well against the table.
